Walking along bank street, I noticed the man walking ahead of me stop and stare at something on the ground. He paused, and then kept walking. When I had a look at what he'd seen, I found this photograph. Of course I immediately picked it up and put it in my pocket. The photo was lying outside Sooter's Studio, a photography store that does passport pictures. Presumably this reject photo, with its two burn marks and the scratched chin, somehow crawled out the door to freedom.
