This man is clinging to his dignity, trying to put up a good face. It's a waste of time.

Dignity? For a registered sex offender? A child molestor? With his statistics plastered on the Internet for all to see?

Out of habit, he keeps it up -- trims his moustache, combs his hair. He tries to maintain a certain standard. There's no more dignity for him, no more respect. That's gone, and he knows it.

He fails -- the act's a waste. His sorrow and shame are pounded into his face. This man will be in pain for the rest of his life.
