Egg Man
Sold -- acrylic paint on paper

Creating a painting is similar to having a dream. You have a dream, you enjoy it, you forget about it. Only, with a painting, the dream is still there, recorded, real, in the world. You've forgotten about it, but you can stumble across it in your travels and wonder, what kind of context gave birth to this? Who is this portrait of? What was I thinking?

I sold this painting to a friend, and I haven't seen the work in quite some time. I have no idea who this face belongs to, or why all those eggs are on the wall behind him, or why he has a blue seagull on his forehead. Oh well. It doesn't really matter.
