I was in a miserable mood when I made this. But it reminded me why I love paper so much -- it can be attacked, scratched, beaten, spat on and it doesn't complain like canvas does. Canvas is such a whiny little bitch.
The face was inspired somewhat by a photo of Franklin Roosevelt. He provided the initial lines, and then I threw him away and went off to someplace else, without his help. The title is taken from some words I wrote on the right cheek. Look closely, to the right of the right eye, and you can see the words written there -- You Never Say Yes.
You can buy this painting. Yes, you can. I'm serious. Email me and it's yours.
