What A Catch
sold -- acrylic paint and coloured pencil on watercolour paper.

I decided to break the spine of my art, and see what it looks like. A looser form, a more fragmented look, a more abstract feel -- maybe that'd be a fun direction to go in. I couldn't quite let myself go completely abstract, so I worked loosely from this photograph.

Believe it or not, this picture was on the front page of The Bugle, a newspaper out of New Brunswick. Isn't it cute when small town newspapers depict the exact stereotype of small town life you carry in your head? I think so.

This work was sold to someone over the Internet that I had never met before. He simply sent me an email, we struck a deal, and he bought it.
