George W. Bush and Al Gore, side by side, yelling into microphones. Only, the way the newspaper laid the pictures out, it looked like Bush was speaking, and Gore was listening. Maybe they were listening to each other. I certainly wasn't paying that much attention to what either was saying. I just studied their faces.
