The Little Men Who Feed Off Me
$500 -- acrylic paint, ink, coloured pencil on canvas stretched over fibre board.
22 X 38 inches.

I found a large board on the street and decided to take it home. It might be fun to stretch some canvas over it. Once that was done, I started drawing -- without anything particularly in mind. This is what happened.

When it was finished, I stared at it for a long time, trying to figure it out. What the hell was it? Then it hit me. Those big rosy cheeks weren't cheeks. They were bite marks. And those tiny men floating there -- they were eating this poor son of a bitch. They stopped long enough for this portrait to be painted. Once the work was complete, you can bet they went back to chomping on this guy's face.

Oh sure, it looks innocent to the casual observer. My own mother praised this painting when she saw it. It was so interesting! I didn't dare tell her what the title was -- "The Little Men Who Feed Off Me".
