Pugs
sold -- pencil, ink, acrylic paint on watercolour paper
30 X 22 inches

This commissioned work took well over a month to get from Ottawa to Connecticut, thanks to the paranoia currently swarming through the USA. The moral of the story: avoid mailing large, black tubes with metal ends. Yes, there is racial profiling of packages going on at the post office.

This piece was done using paint, pencil, marker, and anything else lying around my home. It was commissioned by someone I never met in person. She saw my website, liked my stuff, contacted me about getting a painting, and voila! We agreed on a smaller sized work, but I decided to bump up the size for free. (I needed more space.)

When she approached me to paint a portrait of her dogs, I immediately said yes. It's fun, in a strange way, to paint what other people want me to paint. She then emailed me 15 different pictures of her two pugs -- including some hilarious ones of her male dogs wearing dresses.

You too can commission a work. Just drop me a line and say what you'd like to see. Prices range from $100 to $250 dollars.
