Glenn
SOLD -- acrylic paint and coloured pencil
30 X 22 inches

I sold a portrait of Shakespeare to Glenn, and then he asked for a self portrait. We'd never met, because he lives in California, and I live in Canada. So he emailed me a bunch of photographs. I latched on mostly to this one.

Of course, I worked from a black and white print-out. That allows for a more liberal interpretation of the colour spectrum.

The painting was nearly done when I got annoyed with it. Something about it didn't work. It didn't hold together. And that was when I dotted all the black lines with white specks.

Here's a close up shot.

The dots united the painting, and made me happy. Dots are the answer to all our problems. I think they're eventually going to bring about world peace.

Do you want a painting? Send me an e-mail and tell me. I work surprisingly cheap, because I have a day job.
