I wanted to paint a bulldozer. They were doing construction in my neighbourhood, and the bulldozers all looked dirty and complicated and gentle, like sleeping dinosaurs from a Disney movie. So I snapped photos of them. But none of the pictures turned out quite right.

I wound up using a photo I found online. God bless the Google image search option.

For a month or so, this painting was hung up at my place of work. People seemed to like it. I got the feeling they were relieved to see something other than a face. Some coworkers even went so far as to guess what kind of bulldozer it is. Which just tells you what kind of people I work with.
